The American Red Cross continues to amplify the ongoing critical need for blood and platelets to keep the blood supply stable as fall begins. A man from Hollidaysburg died in a single car accident Friday night in Greenfield Township. State police reported that Wayne A. Newkirk, 46, was driving southbound on I-99 at a high speed in the right lane when, at around 11:48 p.m., he veered into the left lane to overtake another vehicle.
