    Santa enjoyed talking to children and hearing their wishes for Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 8, at Long's Outpost, Martinsburg RR. More than 50 children enjoyed their time with Santa as parents took pictures. Santa provided each child with candy treats, popcorn ball, cookies and milk. For some of the little ones, the experience was rather frightening. One little girl, Stella Rose Long, wrote a beautiful letter to Santa.     Department of Human Services Secretary Teresa Miller on Nov. 26 reminded Pennsylvanians that the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) application period for the 2018-19 LIHEAP season is still open.     The Central High School World Language Club visited the Soldiers and Sailors Museum in Pittsburgh for a flamenco ballet and then had lunch at the Mallorca restaurant across the river on Oct. 30. Club advisors Louise Wilson and Kevin Buynack took 33 students to see two performances of Hispanic dances from all over the globe. The students enjoyed watching the shows.     Single-Vehicle Crash State Police, Bedford, charged Lori J. Aungst, 62, of Hopewell, with driving on roadways laned for traffic following a single-vehicle crash on the Loysburg Bypass, South Woodbury Township, Bedford County. Police said Aungst’s 2006 Kia Rio was travelling south on State Route 36 when it drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a guide rail.
