    The average price of gasoline across Western Pennsylvania is two cents cheaper this week at $2.750 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report. Every state in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast region has cheaper gas prices this week (Pennsylvania, minus 3 cents). As gas prices decline, New York ($2.76) is the only state in the region to land on the top 10 most expensive state list this week.   • State Announces Agreement with Companies on 'Robocalls'

    Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro on Aug. 22 announced that a coalition of 51 attorneys general reached an agreement with 12 major phone companies to fight illegal robocalls. The companies are AT&T, Bandwidth, CenturyLink, Charter, Comcast, Consolidated, Frontier, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon, and Windstream. The telecom companies have agreed to adopt eight principles targeted at improving prevention and enforcement of illegal robocalls, according to the attorney general’s office.
