The United States Postal Service filed notice in October with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) of price changes to take effect Jan. 22, 2023. The new rates include a three-cent increase in the price of a First-Class Mail Forever stamp from 60 cents to 63 cents. On Monday, Jan. 9, Circle K Gifts in Woodbury and Denny Shoemaker (shown left) held a joint fundraiser for the Over's Christmas tree in Woodbury. Refreshments followed the presentation. The Claysburg-Kimmel School Board used its last meeting of 2022 to reappoint Rich Gergely board president and Geri Mock vice-president. Gergely was challenged for the presidency when Mock nominated Jeremy Knott for the position. Taylor Township Supervisor William Replogle, who is facing multiple sexual assault-related charges from two separate police departments, was in Blair County Court last week where he asked for two separate trials. Replogle, 80, was arrested on Feb. 18 by both Martinsburg and North Woodbury Township police after two women who were tenants of a trailer park Replogle managed accused him of sexual assault.
