One of the fastest-growing segments of Pennsylvania’s rural economy are workers 65 years old and older. The educational aspirations of today’s rural Pennsylvania youth have decreased over the past decade, according to the research, Rural Youth Survey: Trends and Developments in the Attitudes and Aspirations of Rural Pennsylvania Youth. Most certified police departments in Pennsylvania serve small and rural municipalities with populations of 10,000 or fewer residents.
